As a part of the theme Healthy lifestyle under #MissionLiFE, Activities including; Swimming, Taikando and mobilization of people for football match were taken up in various Sports Centers in Jorhat District @PMOIndia @byadavbjp @moefcc @CMOfficeAssam @cmpatowary @mkyadava

In an effort to make a healthy and sustainable environment, plastic cleaning drives were conducted in various areas nearby Protected areas and River involving local people under #MissionLiFE @PMOIndia @byadavbjp @moefcc @CMOfficeAssam @cmpatowary @mkyadava

Fr-1 trainees from Assam Forest School, Jalukbari @AFS_Assam visited Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary & Biodiversity Park (Sahitya Manishi Upaban). Later, hands on training on M-STrIPES application was given to them. @cmpatowary @mkyadava @assamforest

The forest officials & staff under Jorhat Range dismantled & seized one illegal band saw mill today from Jugibheta area & brought into departmental custody. The drive against illegal band saw continues under Jorhat Forest Division @CMOfficeAssam @cmpatowary @assamforest @mkyadava

Yesterday night at around 1:00 AM information about a barking deer was received from Rajamaidam area. Forest Department responded quickly & rescued it within an hour. It was released later in Hollongapar Gibbon WLS at 2:30 AM @CMOfficeAssam @cmpatowary @mkyadava @assamforest

The participants were sensitised about various reasons for such collisions and measures to mitigate the same were deliberated and exchanged. @cmpatowary @mkyadava @RailNf @WWFINDIA @assamforest

An awareness session for Railway Field Staffs & Officials for Reducing Train-Elephant collision was jointly organized by Forest Department, NF RAILWAY @RailNf & @WWF India at Mariani Railway Station.

An awareness program on Human-Elephant conflict & the Do's and Don'ts during elephant depredation was organized on 5th & 6th November in Mariani. Pamphlets were distributed and announcements were made in areas with high elephant depredation. @CMOfficeAssam @cmpatowary @mkyadava

30 nos. of high power torchlights were distributed among the locals under Mariani Range to assist in monitoring elephant movement and mitigate conflict in presence of Hon'ble MLA Mariani Mr. @RKurmiOfficial @CMOfficeAssam @cmpatowary @mkyadava @assamforest
