I rarely speak about someone’s reality or ability as a Saint and don’t respond.
But it would be wrong of me to not defend the name of Sai Baba of Shirdi who I know several evidences exist that he is a real Saint and so I am responding here:
1: Shirdi baba is real and advocated Vishnu Sahasranaam chanting (still happens in Sakori in Maharashtra and can be witnessed there).
He instructed Upasni maharaj (originally a Kulkarni who went into samadhi suspended by ropes on the middle of a crevasse and upon coming out of that found severe problems with his breathing… wandered for years to get it cured… none could help.. Sai Baba cured him with a mere touch) this Kulkarni then was instructed by Baba to allow snakes and scorpions to crawl over him (variety of Ajhghar sadhana) became an actual Avadhoota called Upasani baba (you can Google him… I have on camera interviews with Upasani Maharaj’s disciples now in old age from 2010 who confirm his disciple’s power over elements) so how powerful was the Guru (Shirdi Sai baba), cannot be imagined.
2: I also have it on record from one of the very few people with Siddhi I ever met in my life (I speak about this old woman in the Vaad interview) that Shirdi Baba was Shiva incarnate on earth.
3: There was an eye witness living at the time I was a boy in the 1980’s that person lived in Mafatlal bungalow in Pune and was eye witness as a boy to the most impossible miracle Shirdi Baba performed in front of around 3000-5000 people in 1911 which is stopping the rain, causing the floods to recede and what not… control over the elements basically).
4: It is not without good reason that Akkalkot Swami called him a priceless jewel(Sai Baba) on a heap of cow dung (Shirdi).
5: MV Kamath went to investigate and debunk Sai Baba in the 1970’s and came back as a Sai bhakt….
6: He is offered and still smokes a chillim in Shirdi on certain Thursdays. You can go and check, I have it on video.
I looked into all this in the 2008-2012 time frame for a documentary… so these are the facts.
Rest one may believe what one wants.
