President Ruto this morning indicated that Kenya's FX reserves currently stand at 7.5 months of import cover. That's ~ US$3.5 billion higher than what the Central Bank printed in yesterday's release as the latest position (i.e. 6.0 Months of cover, US$14.02 billion worth of FX reserves) The partial divestiture from Safaricom Plc should be bringing in ~ US$1.9 billion to boost the current position but will still fall below 7.5 months of cover. Another divestiture with hard currency proceeds in the offing?

U.S. Sailors and Marines aboard USS Tripoli (LHA 7) arrived in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, March 27. The America-class amphibious assault ship serves as the flagship for the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group / 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit composed of about 3,500 Sailors and Marines in addition to transport and strike fighter aircraft, as well as amphibious assault and tactical assets.

@MativoMJohn Considering the timeline and costs of delivering an npp of such size, it's too ambitious in my opinion. It will starve off funds from geothermal projects that can be brought online faster.

@DiMacharia_ Then you have to made the location of primary demand. Currently Nairobi and surrounding areas consume 50% of demand followed by Mombasa.
So the site location NPP has to be tied with transmission lines close primary load centre.
Then we need a 24/7 manufacturing economy.
