@chevaliette Yes lol it’s the retreat into a better “past” that Sentinel’s character plays on, that if really given the choice a lot of people would pick the manus over the foundation because the appeal of immediate comfort over having to face the horrors of your current reality

(3.7 spoilers) the sight of paravyan affected by the storm syndrome that makes people “wallow in despair” putting him at odds with his actions as a soldier made me wonder if most of the 3.0 cast would’ve ever landed a foot on the battlefield at all had they known what was to come

@chevaliette Like I still think nothing justifies the soldier stuff but it’s a good bit because people start justifying their horrible actions by saying “I’m doing this for an even greater cause that no one else can imagine”
