@IdahoLark Interesting - I also took screenshots last night of three air ambulances flying to or away from Boise at the same time, including that one. Two went over my house. I often see them coming from the Weiser area, as well as eastern Oregon. Last night, one was headed towards Burley.

Incredibly sad news for @NPR and journalism. @nealconan was an extraordinary journalist who was a ‘founding father’ of our public radio system. His hosting skills were miraculous and he could hold the air and distill complex issues live for hours on ‘Talk Of The Nation’. RIP.

@maggieKTVB7 Had to do it in Id. Falls in 1989. Man had died in single plane crash. Was told to knock on wife’s door. I told her immediately that she didn’t have to do interview. Amazingly, she decided to do it. But I left commercial news bec. of assignments like that.

Here's a better idea: Don't ask anyone to door knock on people's homes who have lost loved ones. It's intrusive, rarely yields good interviews and is not necessary when there are many other ways to contact someone.

After 4 years, today is my last day at the Idaho Statesman. I will miss the talented staff terribly. But I'm excited to say I've taken a job as a producer and writer for @IdahoPTV. It's bittersweet, but you'll still see me in Idaho journalism.
