I am extremely blessed and excited to announce my commitment to Texas A&M University–Texarkana to continue my academic and athletic career!! 🦅📚🏆🥎 First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with the opportunity, strength, and guidance to reach this point in my journey. I want to thank my parents and brothers for their endless love, sacrifices, and support throughout this process. None of this would be possible without you. To my coaches, Coach Vanessa- Thank you for helping shape me into the person and player I am today. Thank you for investing your time, knowledge, and countless hours of lessons over the years! Coach Tatem, Coach Watty, Coach Collins, Coach Bilbrey, Coach Fortner, Coach Walthall, Jesko and Britten, - and anyone else i’m forgetting, thank you for believing in me, pushing me to be my best, and helping me grow both as an athlete and as a person. A huge thank you to Coach McKnight for giving me this incredible opportunity and believing in me enough to be a part of this amazing program. To my friends, teammates, teachers, and everyone who has supported me along the way, thank you for your encouragement, unwavering support, and belief in me. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited for what the future holds. The work is just beginning and I can't wait to get started on this next chapter. Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality. #SoarEagles 🦅💙💛 @tamut_softball @TAMUT_Athletics @Vdevo5 @WTXBombersNAT @RandallLadyRai1 @ScoutSoftball

The NCAA D1 Cabinet just unanimously approved the age-based eligibility model (final after Wed meeting). It shifts from the old rule (4 seasons of competition within 5 years starting at full-time college enrollment) to a new "5 seasons in 5 years" model. The 5-year clock now starts at the earlier of: initial full-time college enrollment or the academic year after an athlete's 19th birthday. It runs consecutively with almost no extensions or waivers (exceptions only for pregnancy, religious missions, or military service). Current athletes with eligibility left can choose the old or new rules, whichever helps them more. Future prospects follow the new system strictly.
