dear college baseball, from the beginning, diamond was never supposed to just be another app. the whole reason I started building it was because this sport deserved better. better coverage. better access to information. better tools for the people who care enough to follow it every day. and while we were able to build a better place to check scores, stats, leaderboards, and follow the sport, one piece kept bothering me in the background: live game data and live stats should not be this hard. we tried to go through the proper channels. we pushed. we asked. we looked for the right way to bring this to diamond. and the more time that passed, the clearer it became that if we wanted to give this community the experience it actually deserves, we were going to have to build a different path. so that’s what we did. today, we’re launching scoringdiamond.com it lets fans, sids, and people watching from anywhere claim games and become the scorekeeper. the whole system is tied directly into our database and built to make scorekeeping as simple, fast, and consistent as possible. a few taps can update the game for everyone following along in diamond. you’ll be able to earn rewards. there will be leaderboards. accuracy will matter. and like everything we’ve built so far, this will keep getting better with the community’s feedback. diamond has always been a community app. this is not us giving up. this is us refusing to stop. if college baseball has been overlooked, underserved, or forced to settle for less, then we’re going to keep building for the people who know it deserves more. thank you to everyone who has believed in what we’re building. let’s grow this sport the right way. ps. yes it will eventually be an app and it probably wont be fully perfect to start but we will get it there.
