Y'know the gag of Maui trapping Moana in the cave worked because you could suspend your disbelief with the animation and visuals and become just as "distracted" as Moana is.
In live action, you lose that and it comes across as her obliviously walking into an obvious trap. A

Probably just nostalgia biased but I prefer the warmer colors and face prints on the old Spongebob minifigures over the new ones
The new ones are very good but they don't have the same vibe, they definitley feel more close to modern stuff in the colors

@ceymk1 I’m sure it’s difficult, however, with the line in the song being so specific, it makes it awkward when the visuals don’t match the lyrics. It’s similar to when Sebastian sang about fish playing musical instruments while Ariel rode on a turtle with no fish playing instruments

@DiamondSpiderP Tapestries on his skin was probably hard to animate like in the original so they did the next best thing by animating same tapestries on rocks
