But they're still poorer than Western Europe, heavily subsidized, and now frontline cannon fodder in the anti-Russian game. The "success story" looks a lot like turning your country into a cheap labor pool and military buff

Soldiers still came and weaponry still was there to hold the line of contact. Minsk was broken by Russia
