So you're basically closing the Hall - especially when it comes to pitchers? Verlander gets in. Scherzer gets in. Greinke probably has a good case eventually, but will take a while. The 300 game winner is extinct. The 200 inning starter is an endangered species. I think the standards need to be more "era specific," because the game evolves so much. 500 home runs ans 3,000 hits are still very attainable numbers for guys with long careers, but all pitching standards should be weighed against the era, because if you're comparing a 2020's career to Jim Palmer or Tom Seaver, the numbers will always fall dramatically short.

Posey is the only one on this list who will make it. I can't imagine anybody else even getting a vote.
