It’s way past time that there was more scrutiny of state-funded political lobbyists like ASH. They should not be funded by our taxes.

Their concern was a question as to why the UK should continue to fund the WHO @FCTCofficial when it continues to undermine UK policy on vaping. Perhaps the real question should be why the UK govt should continue to fund @AshOrgUK when it is more faithful to WHO than its funders.

ASH has never been comfortable with vaping. They pretended to be vape-friendly for a number of years but it was always hollow. Remember they advocated for medical only vapes in 2012 for the EU TPD. Now trying to seize that chance again.

IIRC, they said it's fine as "there is a cigarette shop omn every corner". 🤪

@AshBinAus @RedfearnMike I remember @Dick_Puddlecote years ago, got the UK Gov to put a warning on their website about travelling to Australia with a #vape. Maybe he can update. Maybe other country THR can also warn their country folk via their Gov tourism warning systems.

I may have missed it in the reporting on the ridiculous vaping ban in Australia, but I haven't seen anyone ask what seems the most obvious question to me. What are tourists going to do? Follow up: Was the Minister consulted at all? I'll let you know if I get a response
