Don’t understand why politicians use phrases like “culture wars” in interviews etc. Happy to be corrected but my guess is most voters who aren’t perennially online don’t know what they’re talking about. What are they trying to say and who do they think they are they speaking to?

It is widely understood that people need safe spaces and it is they that determine what their safe space looks like. No less, raped women deserve to determine their own safe space and are supremely deserving of care.

The Victims and Prisoners Bill will commence Committee Stage in the @UKHouseofLords tomorrow. This is a vital opportunity for Peers to scrutinise the legislation in detail and consider any changes that have been put forward to improve the Bill on behalf of survivors.

50 Years of Women's Aid ⭐️ 2024 marks 50 years since the Women's Aid federation in England was founded, that officially makes this our golden anniversary. While there's been a lot of positive change since 1974, the reality for a lot of women today is far from golden.

Rapists don’t rape everyone they date, domestic abusers can be lovely to their friends, murderers don’t kill everyone they meet. Abusers can be charming and kind in all sorts of circumstances, this does not mean that they are not also capable of horrible abuse.
