@chessmartinez Watched your play on NT@home. First bit of theatre in a long while. Have long covid, just gone through PIP tribunal. So relatable, funny, heartwarming&interesting insight into all of our limits&troubles, as well as strengths&powers whether 'disabled' or not

The news from abroad: ‘Britain is an outlier. No other country is openly pursuing a policy of ‘herd immunity’. It is deeply controversial’

Yesterday there was a special delivery at @sainsburys HQ! We delivered THOUSANDS of messages from customers who are fed up of the supermarket's slack approach to reducing plastic. Sainsbury's are bottom of the class when it comes to reducing plastic. They #couldntcareless

@MrAlexbaird @andrew_harmer These actions aren't about reducing pollution in the short term, but political strategy for gaining change in the long term. Logic.

@MrAlexbaird @andrew_harmer The swarming balanced with Central London being car free for a week creates minimal difference in omissions. And if so it's a small price for eventual system change which will reduce CO2 emissions dramatically&cancel it out.

@MrAlexbaird @andrew_harmer The blockades were pre-arranged. Routes have been redirected. There are very few cars actually sitting and waiting. Only where swarming is occurring, which is where a few people hold up traffic for 7 minutes. This is only one action. Central London is traffic free.

@Leanne_C1988 @andrew_harmer I haven't yet met anyone who's unemployed. There are teachers here, youth workers, artists, conservationists, scientists, photographers, journalists, charity workers, philosophers, authors, academics, retirees, students and I'm sure much more. Get down here and you'll find out.

@andrew_harmer 1- "A revolution without dance is not a revolution worth having". Emma Goldman. This act- done in full awareness of the hilarity of it all- deescalated the police. They laughed and moved away. It has done multiple times since at tense moments.

@andrew_harmer 3- To those suggesting we don't have jobs, we do. We are just choosing to spend our free time fighting for something that is affecting, and will continue to, in escalating intensity, affect us all.

@andrew_harmer 2- Music, dance, song and poetry is keeping the movement going. It's anxiety ridden stuff sacrificing our records for this cause. We wish we didn't have to do it. It's calming the arrestees, showing our solidarity and entertaining the very good natured police.

@farra521 @andrew_harmer Actually this movement comes from years of research and is organised with incredible intelligence. That's how we've kept all the spaces so long. We also have jobs. We are sacrificing our spare time for a cause that will affect all of us- you too.

@CraigCouser @andrew_harmer I certainly wasn't wearing Primark. Solidarity to those who are exploited in sweat shops. We're fighting for you too. Fast fashion is good for noone.

@andrew_harmer All wearing Primark clothes which some poor Bangladeshi Boy, aged 9, grafted 14 hours and embroidered his blood sweat and tears into that fabric.

@Leanne_C1988 @andrew_harmer We've just chosen to spend our holidays fighting for the future of you and your children instead of getting on an aeroplane for a package holiday. We'd love a holiday, but this is our sacrifice. And so we thought we'd make it an enjoyable experience.
