Without watching every single centre bounce on replay, I think Sydney have a slight difference in the way they setup. Now it’s not every contest, but it is quite often, especially when Grundy is in there. We usually see teams have a sweeper/defensive side cover player, but there are many times where Sydney’s sweeper position actually becomes the ball user out of CB by design. They are the highest scoring CB team in the league but they’re also don’t necessarily win a huge amount of centre clearances, so I think setting up for this handball receiver is what gives them that potency (amongst raw talent and superstar players) from this contest. #AFL

@damienswans2012 Agree. As much as I’d love GR in Sydney, it wouldn’t work. Not like it does in Adelaide. Everything is close (I walked everywhere), and the whole city seems to have GR vibes. You’d never get that for AFL in Sydney. And nothing would be close together.
