@Calteck_SZN @cowboyjsn @JoeySangwich_ I think I saw in the past poles say in an interview that they do tiers instead of a list so if they’re down to a tier with a handful of guys they may take the position they need but if there happens to be one guy from a higher tier still there they’ll take him even at a non-need

You’re missing the human element here and pretending that there’s some master BPA list that is always right and all-knowing. There isn’t. Each team has their own BPA

@cowboyjsn @JoeySangwich_ I thought I saw in the past where poles talked about having them more in tiers. Like groups of guys in tiers, when their pick comes there might be guys at 4-5 different positions in that tier so they’d pick from a need unless someone from a tier above happened to be there still.

A player with a high end starter grade at a position that isn't a huge "need" is still going to be higher than a player with an average starter or below average starter grade at a position of "need". Scheme plays a big factor too. That's if they fit the scheme
