Today Alex, Bettina, David and Kath returned to work on remodeling our compost bay! 💪 They have a bit more work to do to fit the fully removable internal dividers and fronts 😁

Thanks to everyone who picked us as your co-op community funding cause between October 2022 and October 2023. We have been awarded £1,143.15, this is towards ongoing site repairs and maintenance 💚

@MattockMonkey has been in her kitchen again with our produce 🤤 Pasta sauce made by roasting tomato, onion and garlic and blended together when cooled, even the basil sprig is a Dig In plant, with lemon pepper chicken breast

We have been awarded level 5 outstanding in the @The_RHS It's Your Neighborhood scheme. The report syas "This exceptional community allotment continues to thrive, both in terms of going produce, but also with regard to the people it nurtures."

This week we have been awarded £9990 from The National Lottery Community Fund. This is for our new project "Wild About Dig In" this is our core funding source for the next 12 months 💚

A lovely #AutumnEquin Bettina, David and @MattockMonkey continued the compost bin construction 🪚 A weedy sun ray bed was tackled by others & Karen supported the Jerusalem artichokes Bettina baked a lemon drizzle cake and everyone sang happy birthday to her for tomorrow 💚

Today we welcomed back a work party from Nottingham Trent Uni and ran our regular Wednesday session Bean canes re-erected, strawberries weeding and runner potted on. Raised bed positioned and new compost bin build started In very challenging weather 💪

Yesterday on site we ran our regular volunteer gardening session in the morning and held a volunteer thank you before our AGM. Everyone tasted and scored out of 5 a wide variety of tomatoes we have been growing this year 💚 #volunteer #Allotments

Our volunteer Bettina organised the enteries for our local show, we entered 19 classes. Very pleased to say we won two 1st places, five 2nd places and two 3rd places. Grateful for everyone's efforts in caring for our plots

Oops! We turned our backs for a couple of weeks and the shared path got overgrown. Never mind - out volunteers along with @PulpFrictionCIC to the rescue! 💪

With today's weather our volunteers are thankful of the polytunnel ☔

Today in addition to our regular Wednesday session & @PulpFrictionCIC helping us, we hosted another team challenge for Nottingham Trent University Everyone worked hard in helping us look just that little bit neater before our RHS It's Your Neighborhood assessment next week 💚
