Breaking: Chuck Norris has died… but reports confirm he immediately found the Grim Reaper and beat him unconscious. Death is currently in critical condition.

@BradHuston Bitcoin is a protocol more like email. Is email "old" - yes. But it's an open protocol of communication that can't be censored and isn't "owned" by anyone. Can I communicate on "cooler" models. Yes. I'm here on X. But do we think that makes email useless?

Saying Bitcoin is unique because it was the first crypto and there is only 21 million of them and it's worth $1.5M is like saying you can buy a rusted out 1908 Model T pulled from a barn and you'll get $1.5M for it. Old, obsolete and rare doesn't make it worth $1.5M.

@BretWeinstein Because it's a monetary network we're talking about, would that be possible with ANY alternative? The problem you're describing isn't unique to bitcoin. This is why the "rules without rulers" mantra is important.

We need a secure, decentralized, denationalized cryptocurrency. The problem with discussing Bitcoin in this context: It is impossible to distinguish those who believe in it and are therefore invested, from those who are invested in it and therefore believe.

@thiccyth0t It is backed by energy though. One of the interesting elements of BTC is that it does hit physics (atoms) via mining. One could argue it is the cost of energy that keeps a support for the price. You have to spend atoms to get it - so you must recoup that cost.

normies are interpreting this as a return to touching grass lol no am purely commentating that the price action implies that capital is needed more in the physical world than in the digital world right now

bitcoin is supposed to be a debasement hedge but it is a digital asset first and foremost amidst a secular rotation from the world of bits into the world of atoms, something thiel has predicted for over a decade

I just claimed "Digidave" on the new Digg. I was 1% hoping my old stats would be there. At one time I was ranked 48th in the world on Digg. @kevinrose I still believe you were the user Pacino in the EARLIEST of days. Can't hurt now to let me know if I was right.

@cenkuygur Ben didn't try to cancel. He said people should be accountable for what they say and who they interview. A big part of his talk was about what makes US great. Said nothing of Israel until Q&A. Tucker is in the wrong. Weird for u to take his side just bc he's more critical of Isr

Does anyone in their right mind think Ben Shapiro loves America more than he loves Israel?

Ben Shapiro tried to cancel Tucker Carlson tonight. How do you think that went? I bet people in the establishment think it worked and Tucker doesn't exist anymore. 😂😂 When you try to cancel people on the right, you wind up accidentally canceling yourself. Nighty, night, Ben.

@coldxman There was also the reversal on holocaust denialism. He said it could be 6M (he was clearly joking with his holocaust maximalism stance), and after a brief "I just don't think it should be outlawed to ask questions" he came to an 'I'm unclear' stance. He was toying with Pierce.

I thought it was revealing when Fuentes tried to blame Piers for putting his dad's job at risk. If you publicly share an unflattering story about your own father, and then a journalist repeats it, you can't blame the journalist for risking your dad's job. You did that all on your own, buddy. It reveals the kind of man who redirects anger at those around him when he's really mad at himself.
