@PrimeSky27 @LightShadowOnyx Yes I did, because it shows that you can take the same animal (Orca) and put your own style and spin on it. Each has their own different body shape, colour and theming. Panthalus is the same animal as Kyogre, with a similar body shape, patterns and theming just with accessories.

@LightShadowOnyx Counterpoint: all 4 of these are based on the same animal and yet they're all visually distinctive and have different characteristics that sets them apart from each other.
Panthalus is literally Kyogre in body, with Rayquaza's eyes. Fakemon designs mogs it with originality.

@MaroonKennedy Online battles can not fix all the other issues. I played several tiers on Showdown in the older gens, but that still doesn't address the terrible stories, the recycled gym format game after game, etc. It's a franchise built on repetitiveness. And people got sick of it.

@MaroonKennedy Would you just stop with that point? It isn't the combat being turn-based, it is how boring and bare bones it STILL is in the main games. It requires zero strategy and zero thought. There is no challenge. And that isn't due to the players getting better at them either.

It's the same bland, basic recycled idea time and again. Gen nine had an interesting twist, but it was still barebones compared to gen five.

I don't WANT Pokemon's main series to be non-Turn Based (I happen to like those), but I'd like for the game to get a bit deeper, a little more complex, a little more engaging.

@CarterxGaming The only design that I would say held water as a 'rip-off' was old Verdash, but it isn't like Cinderace is actually a good design in the first place. It's a rabbit in the style of pants and boots. Not exactly a unique design, given the second form had a lot more going for it.

Tbf... They sued for copyrighted gameplay mechanics to cripple the game. Designs can easily be changed, gameplay mechanics are not so easy, which is why its been in early dev for 2 years now. And its the reason why they are losing that battle, bc they could've won off designs

@CarterxGaming That isn't guaranteed just off them being similar. The only ones that tried to make the claim were the rapid Pokemon fans that acted like drawing inspiration from some Pokemon or the same source as some Pokemon (Anubis and Lucario, for example) automatically gave Nintendo a case.
