@microbear1 @charlesgres @rothschildmd It would be incredibly stupid for Ukraine not to destroy any equipment left behind but even if Russia got a unit- how would they access it and is that a reason to shut down all communications? It still doesn't make sense this is the leading theory behind the outages

This is a story where you have to look past the tweet and read the actual piece. SpaceX shut off certain Starlink satellites to prevent Russian forces in newly liberated areas from accessing them. This isn't about Musk having a tantrum over a Twitter ratio.

@charlesgres @microbear1 @rothschildmd this is not how satellite coverage works. You can't pinpoint the beams to block certain locations

@microbear1 @rothschildmd 🤦‍♂️ The areas occupied by Russia had Starlink disabled.. So, when the Ukrainians took back these areas, they did not have Starlink service.. SpaceX has to catch up with the Ukrainian advances to re-enable service in those areas.. Took me 2 minutes to understand..
