"Codex Resets" are simply a clever marketing gimmick by OpenAI, similar to coupons, sales, and other well-known strategies. The "resets" have the added benefit of being perfectly suited to social media, providing an extra PR boost. I'm not complaining about getting a freebie, but OpenAI could simply increase the usage limits permanently instead.

This is the newest way of engagement farming in the 𝕏, but truth be told, the poster wasn't a Linux user and they ain't switched to Windows either. It's just a cheap way of farmin' engagement.
