@DigitalworldB Adulthood really humbles you in ways nobody prepares you for. We thought it was about freedom… turns out it’s also about understanding sacrifices we once didn’t see.

Very much valid! Hope you are not planning on replying with “generic words” today, don’t r!sk your account!
Retta@Rettalauretta
Why are you replying with generic words like “lol, good, fine, okay, good morning, good afternoon” this is a bad way to engage your mutuals, instead reply constructively, argue respectfully and drop comment like who is actually ready to engage not like you were forced..

Early March, I randomly saw myself inside a WhatsApp group. I checked properly and noticed it was my course rep from uni 😭
Since we left school, we’ve not exchanged one message.
Next thing I saw: Wedding Contribution Group.
I stayed calm.
Then somebody dropped 200k immediately.
My spirit just whispered: Na set up be these. Most of them plan with their friends!
I quietly left the group 😭
He came to my DM asking why I left.
Blocked.
Abeg, stop adding people to wedding or burial contribution groups without asking first.

Look Before You Look Chronicles.
DON'T MARRY TO BE COMPLETE.
It's only those who are complete in themselves that can have a good marriage.
If you are lonely,
depressed and worried don't get married to take
care of all these.
Look for a solution; ask questions,
visit specialists, people who will help you deal with
these things.
Seek for completeness in your Chi, if you
have been bruised by some type of hurt in your past, wait until you are healed and complete before you
marry.
Don't ever marry for the reason of trying to get completeness from your spouse, because it can make
one over demanding which will put too much pressure on your home latter and force it to crash.

Understanding Prenuptial Agreements (Prenups)
Overview
A prenuptial agreement, commonly called a prenup, is a legal contract signed before marriage. It outlines how money, property, assets, and debts will be handled if the marriage ends.
Rather than creating division, a prenup offers clarity, protection, and peace of mind for both partners.
What a Prenup Covers
A prenup typically addresses key financial matters such as:
Ownership of property acquired before marriage
Protection of family wealth or inheritance
Responsibility for debts
Terms of spousal support
In Nigeria, prenups are recognized and can be effective when properly drafted, though enforcement may not be as strong as in some other jurisdictions.
Why People Consider Prenups
Couples may choose to sign a prenup for several reasons:
Unequal financial status between partners
Protection of business, property, or family inheritance
Children from previous relationships
Desire for clarity and future stability
When a Prenup May Not Be Necessary
A prenup may not be necessary when:
Both partners are financially similar
Assets are being built together from scratch
There is full trust and a preference for joint ownership
Every relationship is unique, so the decision depends on the couple’s values and financial situation.
Possible Disadvantages
Discussing a prenup can sometimes create emotional tension or be interpreted as a lack of trust.
However, a prenup is not about expecting failure, but about preparing for unforeseen circumstances.
Important Things Before Signing
Before signing a prenup, it is important that:
It is drafted by a qualified lawyer
There is full disclosure of all assets and debts
Both parties sign willingly, without pressure or coercion
Transparency and fairness are maintained
Final Thoughts
A prenup is neither inherently good nor bad. For some couples, it provides protection and clarity; for others, shared trust and joint ownership make it unnecessary.
Ultimately, open communication, honesty, and mutual understanding are what truly matter in marriage.
Long read? Sorry.
But what do you think about Prenup.
For me? It's a no.
