@Digoxique "Linear Algebra Done Right" is alright also "Basic Algebra" by Cohn for more "advanced" stuff.

The majority of Mathematics books are horribly written, just a collection of abstract definitions and theorems with no concern for presenting the reason or motivation for why those tools had to be developed in the first place, and no attempt at giving an intuitive understanding.
