I've put so much more time & emphasis into tracking high school BaGS & DIGS scores this year, and it's exciting to see the interest increasing in that area. Naturally, there are questions about the process (as there should be!). So, let's take a closer look. 🧵

You look at the guys in that top 40, and they're all impact players in this region. But it's important to look at BaGS & DIGS as well, to see who is dominating on a per-game basis.

This is insanely good!

A major component of DIGS from the very beginning (I created it in 2019) is regression. Though pitchers are rewarded for limiting hits, every batted ball still draws a slight penalty. That's why scores generally fall quickly. Only 19 in NorCal ⚾️ still rocking a 170 or higher!

Someone asked if I ever have a bad day. I do. Today was one. I cried multiple times. Frustrated, sad from thinking about my new normal. But you know what? I’m grateful that I get to share my journey. Grateful that someone in a similar position may see it and be reminded that there is still reasons for joy and hope, even in the heaviest and darkest moments. That’s something cancer can never take from me. We can do hard things. Don’t ever let yourself forget that.
