After many long months, I’ve finally returned to Sainte-Martine. The breeze is gentle, the light serene. Just nearby, two Lesser Yellowlegs play without a care, and their joy stirs something deep within me. I’m rediscovering the pleasure of photography — that attentive gaze, that suspended breath — despite all I’ve been through. It feels as though beauty had been waiting patiently, ready to welcome me back. Life is fragile, yet precious. To savor it, even in fleeting moments, is already a form of gratitude. One word to say: Thank you ❤️

So adorable 🥰 Baby Great horned Owl.

When I saw them, it was almost noon, and the light was harsh. Despite that, I felt so happy.

The day before yesterday, I finally spotted the two baby Great Horned Owl on the other side of the swamp. Seeing them together completely made my day!😍😍😍

@Dijune1 Where in Montreal ? Could it be the large wood north of Dorval's airport ? For your information, I observed the Cooper's hawk on at least 6 occasions this year alone at the Mont Royal, including this instance where it was barely 30 feet from me ! Here's a montage.

Two metres above his brother or sister in this big tree. Look! Even at this young age, this young Great Horned Owl already has the gaze of a predator. Yesterday in Montreal.

In just two weeks since I last saw them, they’ve already flown out of the nest. I thought they would go far away soon, but here they are again! They’re very adorable, and I’m so happy to see them this morning. (Two babies, another one not so faraway from him.) In Montreal.

Wood Duck drift leisurely on the water, carefree and serene, evoking a quiet admiration. Each time I gaze upon them, it feels as if I, too, can steal a moment of tranquility. At the Montreal Botanical Garden.
