Today, on the sidelines of the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee, side event was held at @UNESCO HQ to mark the 25th anniversary of the inscription of the Walled City of Baku with the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and the Maiden Tower on the World Heritage List. Titled “Safeguarding the World Heritage: Heritage Conservation and Communication Practices”, the event highlighted Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to protect and promote this iconic site.
