Interesting stuff here as I’m locking in for the booth, the Royals offense w/RISP compared to top tier Padres offense w/RISP actually chase less than SD w/RISP but IMO what separates the two right now is 0-0 counts! Wouldn’t mind seeing the Royals pick some spots to let it eat in these situations be a little more aggressive but MOST importantly I’d emphasize WINNING 0-0 COUNTS with RISP! They already do a good job of it when the bases are empty. #FountainsUp

@GoldyHappens I had this surgery the fall before my senior year in college. 4 months between that and opening day and it still wasn’t right. Prolly 6 month recovery but it’s not something you can re-injure. When you break your hamate they remove the hook. Uncomfortable… but not unplayable.

The WBC is only 7 games. If you're taking it seriously, you play your A lineup in every single one. If elite players like Judge and Witt are going to make the sacrifice to play, Team USA needs to be managed in a way that justifies that.

@NicholasKatsik2 @fuzzyfromyt He just broke a record Salvador Perez set in 2021. I agree cal is front runner for mvp but saying johnny bench is the only comparable season when Salvy set the record 5 seasons ago is criminal especially when Salvy led the league in rbis that year as well

@fuzzyfromyt He should be the AL MVP imo. Very unlikely we see a season like this from a catcher again. The only other catcher who comes close to the season Cal is having is Jonny Bench in 1970 and 72 when he also lead the league in homers and RBIs and that was over 50 years ago.

Long, but DEFINITELY worth a listen: #Mizzou receiver Logan Muckey was an OBVIOUS pick for one of the team captains this year. In April, he was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer: "It was a shocker." The former walk-on has since beaten that cancer and is now not taking any moment for granted.
