@nahuelzn Hi, Nahuel. I just sent you an email to your alterfutbol.com email address, titled "Dimitris, from Greece". It was too long to post here as a comment, so I sent you a whole email as well. Check it out, you'll see why I got in touch with you. Cheers.

@MickyJnr__ Let’s say this dickhead is right. If so, it should be the REF who should've said sth to Mendy, instead of ball kids/security/Moroccan subs taking matters into their own hands. CAF, what an utter joke you've been, from day 1, with your ticket sales fiasco, to this guy’s bullshit.

Olivier Safari Kabene, the President of the CAF Referees' Committee, addressed the growing controversy regarding goalkeepers placing towels in or near their goals. It is very simple, and we have been clear with our match officials. According to the Laws of the Game, the field of play must remain clear of any foreign objects that are not part of the players' equipment. A towel is not considered player equipment. It is not a jersey, it is not a pair of shorts, and it is not gloves. We understand the practical need, but these items must be kept away from the goal area. They should be placed behind the advertising boards or with the team staff. When a goalkeeper places a towel inside the side netting or right next to the post, it can influence the game. It can distract opponents, obscure the referee's view of the goal line, or even interfere with the ball in certain situations." #AfricanFootball

@KieranMaguire Nice :-). Spent the last week in Tangier, was able to buy 3 Ittihad (biggest local club) shirts at their official store, and a Sudan shirt from AB Sport, the Tangier-based Moroccan company that dresses them in this AFCON. Unlike u, though, I don’t wear them (boo me, I know :-)).

You cannot have too many football shirts. This week’s acquisitions are Greenland away in fjord blue and Brentford x Hard Fi (but order 1 size up as they are a small fit)

@FotballVibes You make it sound like the organizers did it out of the kindness of their heart. What a joke... Free tickets SHOULD be given to vulnerable categories of people BEFORE a game starts. If you make it free AFTER kickoff, you are spitting at the face of fans who did pay.

𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗧𝗬 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗨𝗠 𝗧𝗢 30,000 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦 👏🇲🇦 At the start of the Egypt vs Zimbabwe match, the Agadir stadium appeared empty, but the organizers decided to open the gates for free. In just a few minutes, the news spread throughout the city, and the crowd rushed to the stadium. An initiative by the organizers that offered thousands of families and young people the opportunity to enjoy this football celebration.

@AfconCentral25 Sorry, but that's an absolutely ridiculous statement. It's like saying if you bought a ticket you're a cow worth milking and a sucker. Free tickets is fine BEFORE kick-off, to certain categories of fans. AFTER kick-off, is like spitting on the face of the paying fans/suckers.

@Dima_Balas @MezahiMaher As much as I don't know how it was decided, I don't think the president can make such changes without the organization having to agree on it

In the wake of Dr. Motsepe's announcement that the AFCON will be played every four years starting from 2028, ask yourself: "Who does this benefit?" That's the most important question to ponder before making any hasty judgements

@BohuslavskaKate Summer 2024, Lviv. Had been writing for a Greek travel website for 15 years, just sharing stories. Started writing from Lviv as well. In two weeks, I gave up(...). Bottom line, H U G E respect to anyone who puts up with bottomless human stupidity online every single day. I can't.

Being a Ukrainian online is challenging. This is about the most horrific, soul-destroying experiences one can imagine. When a Ukrainian chooses to go online to say they are terrified, hurting, or grieving, they not only open up to strangers, but also to enemies. Social media offers no shield from those who enter our comments to tell us, with full conviction, that the child just blasted to pieces actually deserved it. I say this not for pity. I say this so you understand the sheer volume of bile we wade through just to get the word out, and to know that reading all of that can make even moderately normal comments feel aggressive. Every time a Ukrainian person online masters enough courage to open up, please show support, because enemies will show no mercy.

@AfconCentral25 Have it your way… If only six countries can host an AFCON, at the very least, rotate harmoniously, so each country hosts once every 12 years.

@Dima_Balas This afcon was supposed to be in Guinea in the first place, here that's enough motivation, yet they made 0 progress and doesn't even have 1 good football stadium, some countries are struggling to have 1 caf standards stadiums, let alone host tournaments

@AtlasLion2030 @AfconCentral25 By pointing out other countries that have already over-hosted, u just add Morocco to the list of the extra-privileged, further widening the gap between you 5-6 & the rest of the continent. Other countries should be motivated to go for it. If not, AFCON remains a half-closed shop.

@AfconCentral25 A) History's shown earning the hosting rights 4 a big tourn, countries r finally given an extra push to upgrade their infrastructure (Greece, Olympics 2004, just 1 of countless examples). No tourn, no extra motivation, = stagnation. B) Doesn’t have to b 1 country. Look at AFCON27
