Playing with some basic @HyperFrames_ video for my #WordPress donation plugin @WPCharitable (check it out wpcharitable.com). Been adding a few videos in-plugin too. Getting there. Now i'm exploring more ways to make them "pop" and be more fun. 🤔

I hate CAPTCHAs. And so do your customers ... up to 40% of them abandon a form the moment they see one. But the alternative used to be worse. At one point, my @wpbeginner forms got 18,000 spam requests in a single night. So I tried everything. Honeypots, rate limiting, etc -- they worked for a while until they didn't. There are premium spam tools, but they're often slow & expensive. They flag real people without telling me why. So I asked my team to build something better. Hey @WordCampUS - maybe i'll go. (Checks dates) Exactly when my kids start college. August is big "back to school "month. I predict next time I'll be going in person to this #WordPress conf. is when my kids are grown up before my grandkids appear. No shade #WCUS. We're cool.

Several improvements landed in HyperFrames, team can't stop cooking and we are near 20k stars!

"This week instead of responding to subtweets and armchair critics on social, I devoted that time to learning and building... so I'm launching two new products this week!" What a great attitude. Time is a limited resource. So easy to let other forces steal that from you.

@TheCre8tiveDiva The best piece of advice I can give you is to point Remotion and Claude to a piece of documentation that contains all the information you want in the video. It makes things so much easier/faster.

Small independent teams move fast because they don’t have to build powerpoints, have many meetings, convince people of things, coordinate on work, etc.. It doesn’t scale, but it doesn’t have to. Stay small and independent (even inside a larger company), to stay fast.

This DOES get me thinking about a #WCMIA reunion tour though.

I left Twitter 12 years ago. I was knee-deep in the #WordPress space. I was part of the community in many ways. We all communicated on "here." Some of the same folks are still around. Some are long gone. I never left WordPress, but I wonder if this is still the place to be. 🤔
