Watching USA win the Gold in hockey was a reminder that at the highest level it often comes down to one small window. When the talent is that even, the difference is not constant dominance. It is staying in the game long enough to capitalize on a single moment. Trading is no different. Independent traders burn out chasing instant gratification and big payouts. They press when nothing is there. They treat time like an enemy instead of an ally. But nothing in this business is linear. There are long stretches where you fight just to stay afloat, and then there are brief windows where opportunity shows up and changes your year. You can be incredibly skilled, but if you do not have the heart and mental fortitude to survive when the market has you on your back, you will not be around for those windows. I was never the richest guy in the room. My career as an independent trader and exchange seat holder was mostly a grind, punctuated by a few meaningful stretches that put me ahead. Nothing flashy. Just surviving, staying honest, staying humble. Slow it down. Protect yourself. Stay in the game for the opportunities that are still ahead. 🇺🇸💪🏼

WHAT IF REALITY ISN’T REAL… UNTIL YOU LOOK AT IT? In quantum physics, a particle can be in every possible state at once, until you observe it. The moment you look? Boom. One outcome shows up. The rest vanish like they were never real. It’s called the observer effect, and yes, it means your attention literally helps shape physical reality. Too wild to wrap your head around? Stay away from philosophy, where everything might just be a figment of your imagination. Source: manifestation_rituals_ on Instagram

Why Traders Get Hooked on Dopamine Loops: Trading is unique in that feedback is immediate, public/known (in P&L), and financially consequential. The volatile schedule of reinforcement mirrors intermittent variable reward systems, the most neurologically addictive pattern known to psychology...found in casinos, social media, and, yes, the markets. Dopamine is not released when you get a reward...it’s released in anticipation of one. (While getting my doctorate, I didn't realize how much my love of neuroscience would eventually inform my work) In trading, every time you place a trade, your brain engages a prediction: “This will/should work.” > If the outcome exceeds your expectations, dopamine surges. > If it falls short, even if the result is still profitable, dopamine levels may drop. This discrepancy is called reward prediction error, and it forms the core of neurochemical reinforcement learning in the brain. In practical terms: **Winning more than expected = Positive prediction error → Dopamine surge → Reinforces that behavior **Winning less or losing = Negative prediction error → Dopamine drop → Creates frustration, hesitation, or revenge trading This loop literally wires the brain over time. Traders can become addicted not to money itself, but to the emotional high of positive prediction errors. Likewise, they can spiral when chasing the "corrective dopamine high" that never comes. The implication? Even highly disciplined professionals can become dopamine-compromised. They may: **Take impulsive trades to “get back” to their high **Overweigh recent outcomes over long-term edge **Feel depleted after losses, missed opptys, leaving $ on the table... due to a dopamine dip. Learning to tame the loop or re-wire the system, is a focus in my work. Know thyself = Self-awareness = Your best edge #tradermindset #TradingPsychology $ES_F $NQ_F $SPY $QQQ

We Judge People for Wasting Money....But Not for Wasting Time The other day I saw someone on social media throwing money around on absurd, meaningless things. The comments tore him apart. Everyone piled on....calling him reckless, stupid, a clown with too much cash and no sense of value. And to be honest, I agreed. The way he treated money was idiotic. But then a strange thought hit me. All of us were so quick to judge this man for throwing away value. But here we are, spending hours on this app, scrolling through the comments, throwing away something far more valuable than money. Time. And I haven’t been able to stop thinking about that since. When people waste money, we have a visceral reaction. It bothers us. It feels offensive, even if it has nothing to do with us. But when people waste time....no one cares. No one flinches. No one comments. Why is that? Is it because time can’t be transferred? Because I can’t spend your time and you can’t spend mine, we don’t care if others burn it? That made some sense at first. But then it didn’t. Because the logic falls apart when you look closer. Most people don’t want money for the sake of money. They want what money buys. And the most sought-after thing it buys isn’t cars or watches or houses....it’s freedom. It’s space. It’s being able to wake up when you want, say no to things you hate, and live on your own terms. What we’re really after is time. Wealth, at its core, is the ability to reclaim time. You don’t want to be rich so you can work more. You want to be rich so you can stop trading your hours for someone else’s priorities. The whole point of money is to buy back time. So if time is what we’re truly trying to acquire, then wasting time is no different than setting fire to your wealth before you even earn it. The thing is: money feels real. You can see the numbers go up and down. You can hold it. Track it. Measure it. Time is silent. It passes invisibly. It never announces itself, and once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. That’s what makes it so dangerously easy to waste. No one is going to pay you to spend time with your kids. No one will compensate you for showing up for your partner. You’ll never get paid to take care of your health, rest your mind, or go for a long walk. But those are the moments wealth is supposed to protect. We’ve got it backward. We think we create wealth by spending our time to earn money. But real wealth begins when you start spending your money to create time. And yet, here we are: scrolling, watching, judging, laughing at someone for throwing away cash, while throwing away the one thing we can never get back. Maybe the real stupidity isn’t wasting money. Maybe it’s not knowing what time is worth.

Over $3M profit in 53 trading days. The current p&l doesn’t show the other $13750 that I already received in payouts. No affiliate commissions got me here. No mentorship selling got me here. 14+ years of grinding did. Either you build the skill, or you look to find an excuse for why I continue to win.
