Acne prone skin is one thing. Skin that is prone to closed comedones??? 😭😭 Those things will sit on your face for months without any progression. The only thing I've found to work is a combination, of salicylic acid, glycolic acid and possibly benzoyl peroxide (not all at once. Different times of the day and week) 😩

Once your comedones mature to big inflamed acne, that’s purging and a huge congratulations to you because you’ve now graduated. Otherwise, comedones can stay on your skin for so long but inflamed acne last a few days and respond to benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, even azelaic acid.

Try a combination of azelaic acid and salicylic acid. Using Retinoids is also key when dealing with comedones but purging is stronger with retinoids because it works fast!

@SkinwithLolami @skinit_Ng I tried this and I kept getting cystic acne around my nose 😩. I knew I was purging but the hyperpigmentation was stressful. This is the only retinol that I never purged with, however it's not available in sub Saharan Africa. 😞

@Dimmaumeh Highly recommend this particular retinoid. I think @skinit_Ng sells in Nigeria. Also, that purge phase is something you just have to endure. Azaelic acid is also multifunctional (mildly exfoliate, decongest pores and also helps with post acne hyperpigmentation)

@Danielochuko_ My own shege made me not even consider anything that wasn't very watery 😭 Honestly oil cleansing is not for everybody.

@Dimmaumeh Cleansing balms and oils have shown me shege. I now stick to the oat cleansing balm from inkeylist. That’s the only one that hasn’t made matters worse for me

Am I the only creator who still prefers to edit vertical videos on their computer? I learned how to edit on a computer back in 2012 😭. I plan to take shorter videos seriously this year so I'm looking into better ways to edit videos on the go. What are your favorite apps for this please? 🙏🏾
