Here’s a “global warming” science experiment you can do in your own kitchen. Grab a big glass and a handful of ice. Put the ice in the glass. Fill the glass to the very top with water. Sit it on a level surface. As the ice melts will the water overflow out of the glass? No it won’t. Free floating ice displaces water. Ever heard of a chap named Archimedes? As it melts the volume of water obviously increases (that’s the lie they spin) but the remaining ice displaces less water. The reason government programs are so inefficient is that, unlike a commercial company, the feedback loop for improvement is broken, because they have a state-mandated monopoly and can’t go out of business if customers are unhappy. No matter how bad the service is at your DMV (sorry to pick on DMVs), you still have to use your DMV, because it’s a monopoly.
