POST MARKT COMMENTARY ( 1/4/26). The Market fooled both Bulls & Bears Intra day. Morning session seemed focussed on Short Covering while the second half was when Bears became active again. There is hardly any belief in the Market that these prices will hold . Both Nifty & Bank Nifty closed well below their Intra day highs. Nifty closed @ 22680 a gain of 348 points while Bank Nifty closed @ 51449 points a gain of 1173 . Broader indices too did very well , the standout was Microcap index which zoomed by 4.62 %. Among sectoral Indices PSU Banks ; Capital goods & Media did very well Only Pharma was in the negative. Volumes were quite high @ Rs. 1.27 lakh crores . Advances swamped Declines by 10 :1 which was some sort of a record. Yet quite a few commentators are expecting that this is a FAKE Rally,a dead Cat bounce. They feel EASTER MONDAY to be a BLACK MONDAY. Based on my analysis & understanding However, I think that the Bears may be in for a nasty surprise
