I’ve been spending almost every single gaming minute over the last 2 months playing Marathon. After the server test I wasn’t really sold but when the full release came out, and the full experience came with it, I have not been able to put it down or get it off my mind

play through all the story content and then enjoy the game for the gameplay. It's personal preference due to it feeling more relaxed when I don't have to stress over not being able to finish the story without knowing what the future holds for obsolete priority contracts.

At this point I hope Season 2 of Marathon makes getting the lore entries for the priority contracts a lot less of a hassle. I usually play around 30-60 minutes daily due to various reasons, and progress feels incredibly sluggish. Having the main storyline easier to get through

Not into extraction shooters, but gave this a shot and now I'm hooked. Runs feel tense, hostile, like they could go south at any point. Insane art direction. Absolutely does not give a fuck about pleasing everyone and all the better for it. Think FGC people would like it a lot.

@chi_is_a_mess Perimeter and Dire Marsh so that there's more to do than taking a nice stroll and grabbing the upgrade salvage you need before exfil. Not sure what it would be.
Although Season 2 already has the night version of Dire Marsh teased, so who knows, maybe that'll be something.

@chi_is_a_mess As someone who is pretty casual and plays with my partner, Perimeter and Dire Marsh is good for getting starting salvage, like Biomass.
I did enjoy Duo Outpost, but for Biomass it fucking sucked lol

Diremarsh Free kit mode shows some us some important things.
Combat feels much more fun when we are using our guns, theres no utility spam, infinite bubbles.
On the other hand it makes me question the purpose of diremarsh and perimeter, other than to complete priority contracts
