In these circumstances, Georgia is once again left to confront the many threats and challenges it faces alone, including Russia's ongoing occupation and aggression. This significantly increases the risks to the country's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

While EU welcomes new members, Georgia is left behind. Due to the govt's anti-European policies - against the will of its citizens - Georgia is no longer among the leading EU candidates and effectively fallen out of the EU accession process, risking geopolitical isolation.

The EU opened a new cluster of accession negotiations with 🇺🇦 and 🇲🇩, while Montenegro and Albania are concluding negotiations on several chapters. This shows how much the EU accession process has accelerated: these countries are moving closer to their dates of accession.

While EU welcomes new members, Georgia is left behind. Due to the govt's anti-European policies - against the will of its citizens - Georgia is no longer among the leading EU candidates and effectively fallen out of the EU accession process, risking geopolitical isolation.

It is not clear to the citizens of Georgia why the ruling party froze Georgia's EU path and confronted the West, while senior officials speak about Soviet/Moscow domination with unprecedented nostalgia.
