We’re slowly rolling out a new selfie-based age check for access to certain age-appropriate conversations on Dippy. This doesn’t change what Dippy is at its core: a playful AI companion app for stories, roleplay, friendship, and imagination. We’re adding this because we want Dippy to stay fun while also being responsible about who can access more mature experiences. The check is handled by @getdidit , a third-party identity verification provider. What this means: • Some conversations/features may ask for a quick selfie check before access • Dippy remains the same fun, weird, cozy, unhinged companion app you know • This helps us keep building responsibly and protect the wider community We know changes like this can feel annoying, but it helps us keep Dippy available, safer, and more sustainable long-term.
