Some highlights of the impressive evolution of this field at El Camaleón Golf Course at Mayakoba, in the Cancun region, where we are providing technical consulting. Just six weeks after sprig planting, the field had already reached approximately 90 percent coverage. A result that reflects the efficiency of the planning, execution, and technical management applied from day one. This field will host the Portugal National Team for an international friendly against Mexico and will later serve as the training base for the Uruguay National Team during this year’s FIFA World Cup. Another international project that reinforces our commitment to delivering high performance turf on the biggest stages.

A little dormant bermuda starting to show after sub freezing temps for 72 hrs 10 days ago and playing a game at 18°. Kudos to my staff for all their work this season. Every year we try to learn more about using our grow lights, heat, and monitoring moisture to improve the field.

The first couple days of a huge transformation for the club. A top of the range drainage and irrigation system is being installed. I’ve decided to go with the new Hydraway system installed by Turfdry at 3m centres. A great start by both Turfdry and Sportsturf Irrigation. @HT_FC

Our Tahoma bermuda is happy with these warmer temperatures heading into October. This training field is 10 weeks post sprigging. Density will be important heading into the winter with a busy 2026 on the horizon. Ryegrass over-seed a few weeks away.
