A very sad day for bat conservation in Scotland. So much expert bat experience lost and no commitment from @NatureScot as to what any new system will be and how householders with problems or queries with bats will be supported.

@NatureScot You say Nature Scot’s purpose is to ‘promote, care for and improve our natural heritage’, when at the same time you are making your entire Bats and Houses case worker team redundant. Is this the best decision for bat conservation. @heraldscotland @TheScotsman
