All change is local—and it starts with a dream. "The Utopia Project: Inspiration for Creative Activism" is open at our @SmithsonianACM featuring this crocheted protest sign. London Kaye made it in 2020 and installed it at DC's Black Lives Matter Plaza.


Today, we address a historic injustice by returning the Benin Bronzes, magnificent examples of Benin's culture and history. Through this repatriation, we acknowledge a legacy of cultural theft and do our part to return African culture to Africans. Shown here: bronze plaque.








Today it's finally time to ship my papers off to @SmithsonianACM. I'm feeling some kind of way about letting go of so much of my life's work that I've been aggregating for 40 + years. But I'm also so proud that this day have arrived. Mixed emotions
