الفيلم "حياة الماعز" (Goat Life ) هو مقتبس سينمائي من الرواية المليالمية (لغة ولاية كيرالا، الهند) الأكثر مبيعًا للكاتب السيد / بنيامين والتي نُشرت قبل حوالي عشرين عامًا وتم ترجمتها إلى العديد من اللغات على مر السنين. حاول الفيلم بكل دقة تسليط الضوء على كرامة وشرف الروح الإنساني حتى في قلب الشخص القاسي. وقد تم تعزيز إيمان نجيب بالله مع مرور الأيام، حيث شعره أولاً في صورة السيد إبراهيم قادري والذي أنجاه من الصحراء، ثم بشكل الشخص العربي النبيل والغني وصل إليه في سيارته الرولز رويس لإنقاذه من وضعه السيء حيث لم يكن يعرف عقيدته أو دينه أو بلده الأصلي. وقد كان محاولتي كلها فقط أن أوصل هذه الرسالة باستمرار طوال الفيلم ولم أقصد أبدًا إيذاء مشاعر أي فرد أو شعب أو دولة. وقد حاول الفيلم بكل أمانة تصوير التعاطف والرحمة لدى الشعب العربي من خلال شخصية الرجل الطيب الذي (لولاه لكان نجيب قد مات على الطريق) ينقذ السيد نجيب ويأخذه في سيارته الرولز رويس الرائعة والغالية، ويقدم له الماء ويشجعه على النوم ويأخذه إلى مكان حيث يمكن أن ينال المساعدة ووسائل الراحة وطرق النجاة. وتم تعارف موظفي المطعم والأشخاص العاملين في مركز الاحتجاز وموظفي نقطة تفتيش، على أنهم نماذج للطف والرحمة والتعاطف. أنا شخصياً كمخرج الفيلم وكاتب النص (السيناريو) والمنتج بواسطة شركتي الخاصة "Visual Romance" والتي أنا المالك الوحيد والمساهم لها، مسؤول كامل في إنتاج هذا الفيلم ولا يوجد أي نوع من الشراكة أو التدخل من قبل أي فرد أو شركة أخرى على الإطلاق. أرجو التعامل مع الفيلم باعتباره عملاً فنياً فقط، وأنني أقوم باصادر هذا البيان حيث لاحظت أن هناك محاولات مختلفة لخلق اضطرابات اجتماعية من خلال دعوى خاطئة أو بيان غير صادق لمحتوى هذا الفيلم. أطلب من الجميع الامتناع عن أي محاولات لنسب أي شيء يتجاوز عما كنت أردت تقديمه خلال هذا الفيلم ككاتب نص أو سيناريو أومخرج ومنتج للفيلم. #TheGoatLife #TheGoatlifeFilm

കാഴ്ചയുടെ മിഴി തുറന്നിട്ട് ഇന്ന് 20 വർഷമാകുന്നു. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഇരുപത് വർഷക്കാലത്ത് എട്ടു സിനിമകൾ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തു. അങ്ങനെ മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ സംവിധായകൻ എന്ന നിലയിൽ ഇരുപത് വർഷമാകുന്നു ഇന്ന്. ഇത്രകാലം തന്നെയുള്ള കാത്തിരിപ്പും ഒരുക്കവും ഇതിന് പിന്നിലുണ്ട്. ഈ നിലനിൽപ്പിന് ദൈവത്തിന് നന്ദി. എന്റെ സിനിമകളോടൊപ്പം നിന്ന പ്രേക്ഷകരോടുള്ള നന്ദിയും തികഞ്ഞ കടപ്പാടും അറിയിക്കട്ടെ, സ്നേഹപൂർവ്വം ബ്ലെസി

The movie Goat Life is a cinematic adaptation of the best-selling Malayalam novel by Benyamin published twenty years ago and translated into many languages over the years. The movie relentlessly tried to highlight the nobleness of human soul even in the heart of a harsh person. Najeeb’s faith in God got strengthened as the days pass by and God comes to him first in the form of Ibrahim Qadri and then in the form of the noble Arab gentleman with the Rolls Royce. I tried to give this message consistently throughout the movie and never intended to hurt the sentiments of any individual, race, or country. The movie carefully tried to portray the compassion and empathy of the Arab people through the character of the kind gentleman who (without whom Najeeb would have died on the road) rescues Najeeb taking him in his expensive and blemish free Rolls Royce, offering him water and encouraging him to sleep and taking him to a place where Najeeb could get help. The restaurant staff, the people at the detention centre and the Arbab out-pass check post are all portrayed as epitomes of kindness, compassion, and empathy. I am the director of the movie, and the script of the movie is written by myself and the movie is produced by my own company ‘Visual Romance’ in which I am the sole owner and shareholder; and no other individual or company has any involvement, whatsoever, in the production of the movie. The movie should be treated only as a work of art, and I am issuing this statement as I noticed that there are some attempts to create social unrest by misinterpreting the contents of the movie. I call upon all to abstain from any efforts to attribute anything beyond what I as the scriptwriter, director and producer of the movie ever intended to communicate.
