On Ist October 2024, a webinar on “Constructed wetlands: A nature-based solution for domestic waste water treatment” was coordinated by IGNOU RC Trivandrum and delivered by Prof. Dr. Sabu Joseph Dept of Environmental Sciences & Dean, Faculty of Applied Science, Univ of Kerala.

IGNOU Regional Centre Trivandrum coordinated a Webinar on “Water Conservation and Management” on 30th September 2024 at 3.00 Pm by Sri. Nizamudeen A, IAS, Director General (DG) Kerala institute of Local Administration & Mission Director, MGNREGA, Govt. of Kerala.

The message of cleanliness was given in a loud and clear manner by adopting an innovative strategy. The Regional Centre Trivandrum utilized the “Thiruvathira” Art form, a traditional dance of Kerala, to give the message that environment can be protected only by keeping it clean.

The officials of IGNOU RC Trivandrum in association with the general public conducted a plantation drive in which a number of saplings were planted. Before embarking on the same, the plantation site was cleaned. Members of civil society actively participated in this activity.

The officials of the Regional Centre Trivandrumvconducted a cleanliness drive both with in the Regional Centre and also in its vicinity as part of "Swachata hi Sewa" Campaign. Substantial amount of waste were evacuated and the area were rendered clean and habitable.

Under Swachhata Hi Seva, which is the main theme of this year’s campaign; Swachhta Mein Jan Bhagidari was observed on 25.09.2024 in one of adopted Village (Goregawan) of IGNOU, Regional centre Patna in which officials of IGNOU, RC Patna took active participation.

Under Swachhata Hi Seva, both Essay and Poster Competition was organised in the forenoon on 20.09.2024 in the IGNOU Regional Centre Patna. The topic of Essay was on the “significance of cleanliness in leading a healthy life” as a part of Swachh Bharat Mission .

As a part of "Swachachhta Hi Sewa" campaign during the period 17th Sep.24 to 02nd Oct.24, IGNOU RC Jabalpur organised Free Health Check-up and Hygiene Awareness Camp at village Kailwas (village adopted by RC, under UBA) on 24th Sep’24.
