Ah, I see. I'm sorry I jumped overhard. Yes, some things like violent crime are lower here than in other places. Yet shootings in downtown Burlington are up five times over anything in history. Open drug use, prostitution in lots of towns. I've watched it decline. Taxes out of control. But yes, better compared to some other places.

Where do you think is better? I do not live there, true-I have only visited. I have, for what it is worth, lived in 13 states and 3 other countries. I have an idea of what our country is like. What I was saying is that you are in a place that, compared with most of the other states, is not that bad based on most quality of life metrics. I know that Vermont is full of woke people…but are they the kind of people that create an environment where you cannot safely walk from the door of your home to your car? What is the violent crime like? I know it isn’t perfect…but where is better? This is twice I have mad good-faith comments on your content and you comeback as though I said something crazy.

A common normie folk belief is that AIDS was ignored by The Establishment out of homophobia. The opposite is true; AIDS became the most researched disease in human history within a few years, and gay orgs strenuously fought measures that might have stopped it.
