#orthotwitter Joint commission guidelines now state that OR temp must be between 68-73 For a total joints room this is very warm - cement gets too doughy too fast - what is everyone doing if held to this guideline? We are mixing for less time - using medium visc cement

I found the world’s only well-fixed cemented Oxford. Took a decent chunk of bone out with the tibial keel. Rebar screws FTW.
MoM with under-anteverted cup, metallosis, and psoas impingement. Durom cup came out in 3 minutes. 😬

I love that my hospital’s newest interim CEO doesn’t bother PRETENDING to care. No wasting my time with “how can I help you meetings” that will lead to no change.
He sits in his office and does nothing. I do ortho stuff. We coexist peacefully.
