@Google Quit with your Gmail ads. It's ridiculous. NOONE wants to see that noise as part of their email. The web has plenty of ad opportunities. At least make it so if you accidentally click an ad, it remembers all of the other spam you already clicked on to delete. #googleads
I'm high enough to debate this.
We start with the premise that I, as someone who's lived a whole life so far, am offered a chance at infinite happiness or $1M.
That means I'd have experienced sadness before the offer, so making that decision means that I'd be consciously giving up the ability to feel sadness/anger/any "negative" emotion other than happiness. That's not something I'd personally want to live, as I am someone who appreciates the sad times in retrospect for what they've brought me in experience and lessons.
But, as someone who's never had $1M, then yes, I'd rather receive $1M than to give up all emotions that oppose infinite happiness.

@simplynavid@ozarky I get your idea here, but you are alluding to becoming "numb" to happiness. That's not part of the premise. You will consistently be happy...
@ozarky $1,000,000
Hear me out.
Infinite happiness will be entirely meaningless over a period of time when you forget what being sad felt like. Without a point of comparison, how much will you value "happiness"? Sadness allows us to fully embrace happiness.
Now, 1 million pleez.
@jerediscool Why would any "web2" person ever want to join this madhouse? If they're just starting to learn about it, the likely reaction will be that of a dumpster fire, stay away, I don't trust this, especially with my money... it's hard enough to wrap your head around it without this noise
Hello Corns and Local!
This is just a reminder that official announcements will only be released on our main accounts. While we support some community initiatives, but not all, we want to remind that those are still community led, and the team is not associated in anyway. ✌️🌽
