I'm high enough to debate this. We start with the premise that I, as someone who's lived a whole life so far, am offered a chance at infinite happiness or $1M. That means I'd have experienced sadness before the offer, so making that decision means that I'd be consciously giving up the ability to feel sadness/anger/any "negative" emotion other than happiness. That's not something I'd personally want to live, as I am someone who appreciates the sad times in retrospect for what they've brought me in experience and lessons. But, as someone who's never had $1M, then yes, I'd rather receive $1M than to give up all emotions that oppose infinite happiness. /high thought
