Judy Heumann, who spent decades attacking a political establishment indifferent to the rights of disabled people and won one fight after another, has died at 75. nyti.ms/3EV4QZS

Judy Heumann dedicated her life to the fight for civil rights—starting as a young organizer at Camp Jened and later helping lead the disability rights movement. Michelle and I were fortunate to work with Judy over the years, and are thinking of her family and friends.

Heumann was instrumental in pushing to expand the civil rights of Americans with disabilities and continued to advocate for disability rights around the globe. She died on Saturday at age 75. n.pr/3mpF0H0
