Holly Springs High School Basketball Schedules (boys and girls)

The football game scheduled for tonight at Byhalia has been canceled. The Holly Springs Hawks will return to action next Friday at home versus Independence.

The Holly Springs High School football team is busy preparing for the season ahead. The Hawks will play in a preseason jamboree this Friday, Aug. 23, at Potts Camp before they kick off the regular season Friday, Aug. 30, at Mantachie.

Holly Springs High School basketball will be under the leadership of two new head coaches in the 2024-2025 season. Rodney Redmond and Morgan Vickery take over the boys and girls programs, respectively, and both are already busy on the court this summer.

Quarterback Deonte Jefferson represented Holly Springs High School in the Northeast Mississippi Football Coaches Association All-Star Game at Northeast Community College. The all-star game is an opportunity for outgoing seniors to get another look from college coaches.

Zianna Schlender, an eighth grader at Holly Springs Junior High School, recently medaled at the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 3A State Track and Field Championships. She placed second in the triple jump (36-7.75).

Kentravian “Tray” Kinkle of Holly Springs High School is a triple-crown winner this year. The junior raced his way to three first-place medals in the MHSAA Class 3A State Track and Field Championships. Kinkle placed first in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash.

Holly Springs will host the Junior High Conference Basketball Tournament Monday through Wednesday, February 19-21. Games will be played at the Holly Springs High School gymnasium, starting at 5 p.m. Monday, 4 p.m. Tuesday (semi-finals), and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday (championships).
