i have officially fully broken free from the shackles of distrokid
i will miss their speedy approval speed and easy edits, but it had to be done ($40/yr + fees for just 2 artist names??)
primarily using amuse now, i have everything i need for label distribution for just $60/yr 😌

@soundrop are y'all able to put "(feat." in Spotify titles? i see AmaLee was able to do it for one of her Soundrop releases, but not sure if that was an exception to the rule

with that being said, if you know of a good open distribution service that can add "feat." to track titles on spotify, let me know. i love amuse BUT i really want to add "feat." to my titles. all the major labels get to do it!!

i set up a release through @EmuBands with a tight release date, and they were able to approve it within less than 2 business hours. i think i found the one ❤️🔥

According to @Mahiya1020, even @TuneCore's $50/yr Professional plan for "labels and industry pros" makes you pay $15/yr for each additional artist. I should have known it was too good to be true 😔

It looks like @TuneCore is going to offer unlimited releases for a flat fee per year. If, under this new setup, they allow unlimited artist names and don't take a percentage of profits, it could be a good choice for anyone (particularly labels) who wants to switch distributors.
