I’m not a fan of writing to people like this through social media, but I honestly don’t know where else to turn. Even though your support has helped me many times in the past, right now I’m receiving absolutely strange and even nonsensical responses.
A few days ago, I received a notice from the Gambling Regulation Authority stating that I was operating gambling. I want to strongly point out how bizarre this whole situation is, because I have no casino or any gambling-related partnership whatsoever. The authority simply didn’t like that viewers who extended the subathon could receive some kind of prize/reward for their support (sub/donation), which has been a completely standard practice for years for all kinds of streamers, whether gaming or IRL.
What’s extreme is that under our law, this apparently qualifies as operating gambling.
For many years I’ve been doing long IRL streams around the world, and I had a long-planned SUBATHON IRL trip across Asia and Australia. Within the first days of going live, I received a ban from you, even though I immediately and proactively contacted support to explain where the issue occurred. I instantly adjusted the rules to comply with legal requirements so that the authority would no longer have any issue. Despite that, three days later I received a permanent ban, even though nothing that could harm you or me was happening anymore.
I immediately asked the authority for an official statement confirming that everything is OK, because your support told me that until they receive an official email from the authority saying I can be unblocked, they can’t do anything. The very next day, that email was sent to you, because the whole situation was obviously absurd and unnecessary. Since that moment, I’ve only been receiving generic responses from support saying they have no further information and that I should wait, while I’m on the other side of the world and my carefully planned daily program is falling apart.
It’s embarrassing for me to write like this via social media, but I truly have nowhere else to turn. From the moment I switched from Twitch to Kick, specifically because of support, not because of KPP or money, I expected much better assistance from you than from Twitch, where no one ever replied to me even though I was a Partner since 2015 and a streamer since 2012. Unfortunately, right now your support, even though it replies, feels like AI-generated responses and is not helpful at all in this extremely strange situation where I strongly believe a permanent ban is completely unjustified.
Thank you for your time and for any response, even though I’d give it maybe a 1% chance. I have nothing left to lose.
