Basics of Timing and Types of Sādhanā: Sometimes we have questions regarding the selection of sādhanā, such as: What if we do not have our birth chart? Or which are the important tithis or auspicious times during which anyone can initiate new sādhanā, pūjā, stotra pāṭha, or perform special pūjā for material or spiritual pursuits? With the grace and wisdom of Mahādeva and @mmpandit sir, I am sharing a few important points below. Important Tithis for Sādhanā 1. Birth Nakshatra Day: One must give dāna and perform homa related to the ongoing sādhanā. If nothing else is possible, at least perform Gaṇapati Homa. (The calculation of this day is clearly explained in this video by @mmpandit, sir – Link: youtube.com/watch?v=Yb0kgK…, Timestamp: 38:00). 2. Amāvasyā: Perform Pitṛ and Devatā Tarpana as per the manual prepared by @homam108, sir (Use Simple Tarpana Manual – Link: vedicastrologer.org/tarpana/downlo…). Also Chant Diśā and Śarīra Bandhana Mantra for protection. 3. Pūrṇimā: Special japa of Śiva, meditation, or Moon-related japa can be performed on this day. 4. Sūrya Saṅkrānti Day: Perform sādhanā and dāna related to Sūrya Deva. 5. Puṣya Nakshatra: Sādhanā initiated on this tithi gives multifold results. One should definitely perform homa of ongoing sādhanās on this day [Dates of Pushya Nakshatra in 2026: x.com/DixitAwakash/s…]. 6. Pitri Tarpan Days: Fifteen days before Chaitra and Sharad Navratra, there is a sacred period of fifteen days during which special pūjā for the Pitṛs can be performed [Link:x.com/mmpandit/statu…]. 7. Grahan (Eclipse) Days: Solar and lunar eclipse periods are extremely potent for invoking and practicing mantras and stotras. Tithi can be identified by @drikpanchang [Link:drikpanchang.com/panchang/month…] Important Practices to Follow: 1. The most important rule is to perform sādhanā at the same place, same time (±5 minutes is acceptable), and same direction. This helps fix time and space. If you travel during sādhanā, carry your āsana (preferably red in color) and sit facing the same direction. 2. Brahmacarya is the key to success. 3. Everyone should wear Rudrākṣa (54 beads are sufficient). Start with 5-mukhi, preferably of Nepal origin. Rudrākṣa must be properly invoked as per the prescribed process [Link: x.com/mmpandit/statu…]. Do not wear Rudrākṣa while sleeping or during śauca kriyā. 4. Gaṇapati Sādhanā / Stotra Pāṭha and Homa is the foundation of all sādhanās. This should be done regularly by everyone, especially during the initial stage, for at least 41 days. 5. Diśā and Śarīra Bandhana Mantra — Must chant before any Patha; chant at least 41 times (Link: x.com/mmpandit/statu… and x.com/mmpandit/statu…). 6. Arghya to Sūrya Deva is mandatory (Link: x.com/DixitAwakash/s…). 7. Daily Homa — whether short or long, it must be done. Use a simple homa manuals prepared by @homam108, sir (Homa Manual – Link: vedicastrologer.org/homa/download.…). 8. Do not change sādhanās frequently. One sādhanā at a time should be taken. 9. For the effect of Stotra Japa, the count should be 1000 or 2000 repetitions, completed within 41 or 51 days. 10. Nāma Japa is extremely helpful in preparing the sādhaka and filling the heart with devotion (bhakti). 11. Mantra Japa takes longer to manifest results. One may begin with simple mantras. Complex mantras or advanced sādhanās must be attempted only in the guidance of a competent Guru, only. 12. Visit a Tīrtha Kṣetra at least twice a year (during Uttarāyaṇa and Dakṣiṇāyaṇa). Stay for at least two nights and perform substantial japa or pāṭha in temple premises or a quiet sacred place. Do Pradakshina. 13. Perform Tripāṇḍī Śrāddha / Pitṛi Tarpana at Gayā, Kāśī, Haridwār, Badrināth, Puṣkar, or Kurukṣetra, or as per local tradition, once every three years. 14. If you do not know any pūjā procedure, simply chant Hanumān Cālīsā at least 11 or 21 times daily. This single practice can resolve multiple problems. 15. Try to avoid traveling on Kali Chaudas and Mahāniśā Rātris (from Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi to Amāvasyā). 16. Must Learn basics of Panchanga, Sanskrit [x.com/DixitAwakash/s…] and Jyotish. Above all, do not lose patience or hope. Remain aligned with some form of Devatā Sādhanā. We have come here only to exhaust our good and bad karmas through experience and sādhanā. Remember, Every suffering offers a new opportunity to learn and evolve. Enrich and equip yourself and your soul with learning and sādhanā. Mahādeva will take care of everything else.

A conversation between HanumanJi&Bhima in Van Parv,MB.@mmpandit,Sir has been kind to us, suggested simple&effective sadhana.
Saraswati Films@mmpandit

If you have never ever seen Pratyaksha Hanuman or met someone who has seen Pratyaksha Hanuman then you will come up with all sorts of theories of Ramayana. But see Hanuman but once and you will remember that your entire lifetime. It is said Garuda is so powerful that 1 feather of his supports the cosmos. Hanuman is even more powerful than Garuda. It’s not just belief. It’s reality. Hanuman burnt Lanka because he is effectively an immortal. I see people saying ‘no no how can Hanuman come in Ramayana and Mahabharata’. But he did. Because those stories are real. Miracles happen on his name. ‘Jai Hanuman’ is itself sufficient. Those who understand will know, those who don’t will struggle.

Excellent suggestion by Sir @mmpandit Ji for generating a random number between 1–249 for the KP Prashna method. For several years, I’ve been using a Gita published by @GitaPress. It has 256 pages, and the last few pages are stapled together—these can conveniently be used to derive the KP number for Lagna Bindu. You can purchase it here: gitapress.org/product/shrima…

One idea is to take a book with 249 pages and take a page number, that gives you lagna bindu exact. (KP method). Other option is to take the lagna where you are. Both options require Pavitrya..

🌸 Chaitra Navratri 2026 – Key Puja Timings 🌸 Chaitra Navratri is one of the most sacred periods for the worship of Maa Durga. According to traditional guidelines, Ghat Sthapana should ideally be performed in the early part of the day before midday. 🙏 Daily Vrat & Devi Puja / Durga Saptashati Parayan During Navratri, the following windows are generally considered suitable for Devi worship, japa, and Durga Saptashati recitation: 🌅 Morning Puja: After sunrise until around 11:30 AM 🌇 Evening Aarti / Puja: After sunset 🔥 Sandhi Kaal (Ashtami–Navami transition) – Special Puja / Bali 📅 26 March 2026 ⏰ 11:24 AM – 12:12 PM This sacred Sandhi period between Ashtami and Navami is considered highly significant. I am a vegetarian brahmin and I support Pashubali. Offerings of goats / buffaloes is done in Hindu tradition to ferocious forms of the Goddess. These Goddesses are crucial in transmuting dark energies and attacks. Unlike other religions and meat industries, the animal in Pashubali is merges with the deity or attains a higher birth - as per scriptural truths that go back thousands of years. Every Hindu, whether vegetarian or non vegetarian, should stand up for the rights of our marginalised left hand path Shakta sects. There is a big propaganda against our indigenous sects, lineages and the diversity of traditions which keeps us alive. A body needs a left hand and right hand to function. Similarly, Vedic civilisation needs both Dakshinachar and Vamachar. Stand in support of Hindu religious freedoms!

What a beautiful old thread on Sri Ganesh, Sadhana, the Ashta Vinayaka Yatra, and so much more. Reading it again from my bookmark list after a year still gives me goosebumps. Sometimes I remember the words of the ancient Rishis—that when knowledge, Sadhana, or Tapascharya reaches a certain depth, a person naturally becomes more kind, compassionate, and generous. This quality is so beautifully reflected in Sri @mmpandit Sir. The way he gently and sincerely guides generations is truly touching. Reading it again brought tears to my eyes. May Sri Ganpati and Maa Lalita shower their grace on everyone. 🙏🏻💐

We all read this doha in our school days: “कल करे सो आज कर, आज करे सो अब पल में परलय होएगी, बहुरि करेगा कब।” If you truly wish to change or balance your life, do not postpone it. Start doing some form of Sādhana by yourself. It may be simple—japa, meditation, prayer, or silent contemplation. You do not need to wait for the perfect time. Begin in any nearby Shubh Muhurat, or simply start today with sincerity. Even a small step taken today can gradually transform the direction of Excellent thought and Recommendation by @homam108 Sir.

Pranam @arunishas Di. My heartfelt pranam to Maa. What a beautiful coincidence — someone shared an old photo of the Devi Vigrah, and the moment I saw it, a spark arose in my mind that it looks very similar… (see the photo of the Vigrah). Indeed, the Kripa of Lalita Maa is lovingly covering and protecting all of us. 🙏

Look at the detailing - in the left is Kali (old features), the one in the middle has a pot which is Mahalakshmi and then to the right must be Saraswati (but the murti is broken). Devi Chandi is the triumvirate of Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati. A combined energy of three primordial forces of creation
