Trading is hard because the thing that feels best is usually the thing that gets you in trouble. It feels good to make money fast. It feels good to be right. It feels good to catch a big move. It feels good to size up after a win. It feels good to get revenge after a loss. And that is the problem. A lot of good trading feels boring in real time. Waiting feels boring. Taking a base hit feels boring. Walking away green feels boring. Skipping a mid setup feels boring. Following the same process again tomorrow feels boring. But boring is usually where the money survives. Everyone wants trading to feel like a movie. In reality, a lot of the improvement comes from doing the same basic things with less emotional nonsense. Be patient. Wait for your spot. Take the trade. Manage risk. Take profit. Stop when you should. Not sexy. Very helpful. If you need trading to be exciting every day, you are probably going to pay for that entertainment. I know this is not as exciting as telling people they are one secret setup away from freedom, but trading gets a lot easier when you stop needing every day to be special. The best traders I know protect their ability to trade tomorrow.
