I got 4 words for this and basically any future Spider-Man story, under the influence of the OMD/BND dogma the current Spider-Offce and Editorial impose: "All shock - no substance" I just cannot expect from them to execute it in a way, that it will matter at all to the readers.

Marvel didn’t hate the marriage because of MJ. They hate MJ because of the marriage. This distinction is important when thinking about what they will do with other relationships. They want a James Bond fantasy, no relationship will progress.
